Supported Living Flats

The main priority of the Petagma Association is the development and operation of Supported Living Flats, where tenants with disabilities live permanently in a socially integrated environment with appropriate support for their needs.
Currently, we operate 3 Supported Living Flats with 4 tenants in each. The legal framework for their operation is defined by the decision Government Direction 1160 Issue B – 8.4.2019

The basic principles that guide the way we offer services in our Flats are the following:

1

Creating a true home

a place that tenants feel is their own, a home that makes them feel safe, relaxed, and free to be themselves.
2

Offering choices and respecting personality

and the tenants’ capacity for self-determination. We want the people we support to have control over their lives and to contribute to the community, not just be passive recipients of care.
3

Extroversion and interaction with the community

We seek opportunities for our tenants to participate in groups, local organizations, and use the resources and opportunities the community offers. They go shopping to the local market, to church, cafes, taverns, museums, cinemas and theaters, to the local swimming pool, and to a creative activities center in our municipality.
4

Facilitating the maintenance of existing natural relationships and the development of new meaningful relationships

with other community members, relatives, neighbors, and former classmates.
5

Providing flexible, personalized services

We try not to adapt the needs and desires of our tenants to our capabilities, but to adapt ourselves to meet the specific characteristics of our tenants. We create an individual support plan for each tenant with goals for the upcoming period and revise it every six months with the active participation of the tenant and his/her loved ones.
