Specialized staff with continuous training and education provide high-quality services in Supported Living. The ratio is 2 or 3 staff members for every 4-5 residents during the day, and 1 staff member at night.
At Petagma, we focus on the high quality of our services, which is demonstrated by our employees who, through different roles, are called upon to put our inspiring operational principles into practice every day.
Our team consists of a Director, a Scientific Supervisor – Psychologist, an Administrative Officer, Support Staff, disability caregivers, and external partners for our accounting and legal services.
Our role as support staff is simple yet complex. Simple is our goal: to support people with disabilities to live a GOOD LIFE. Complex are the ways to achieve this goal, as daily life is full of important details and every person has their own unique characteristics. However, it is these responsibilities that make our lives beautiful and special.
The happy faces of the people we support are for us the main source of inspiration, feedback, and reward.
At PETAGMA, we empower people to make decisions about their lives and we advocate for their rights to ensure genuine autonomy, so they can spread their own wings. At the same time, we find suitable ways to listen and convey their voice towards a more inclusive community. Participation and self-advocacy are among the most important indicators of a good life, as the World Health Organization points out, meaning: I know myself, I express my desires, I know my rights, I participate and co-decide on everything that concerns my life
This work requires continuous effort. Everyone involved must be vigilant to maintain the high standards we’ve reached.
